Writing a blog can be fun but it is no fun when you are the only person that is reading it. It can be difficult to get people to your blog but if you follow these six easy steps you will find more people following you and reading what you have to say.
1. Twitter. This is the hottest web site going at the moment. Just like sending text message, but on line. You need to join Twitter Ad your blog URL to your titter account and then start following people that have an interest in your blog topic. When you follow people they are more likely to follow you back. Once you have a decent about of followers you can then let them know every time you post a new article on your blog.
2. Digg. This is a great little site that helps to promote you web page. Join Digg and then post a new topic about your blog. You can post as many as you like, but they have to be different or they will be blocked. If someone likes what you have posted then they will come a view your blog.
3. You tube. YouTube is very popular and a great way to get people to your blog. Do a short little video about your blog and post it up. It may not get a lot of hits straight away but it will over time it will be seen by more and more people. Plus once it?s up you can leave it there forever.
4. Forum. Join a forum about your topic. Forums are still very popular and a great way to share information. You need to be active in your forum, write a comment at least 3-5 times a week and let people know there about your blog. The more active you are the more people will see you and come to your web page.
5. Answers. Check out both Answers.com and Yahoo Answers. These sites are very popular with people and it is a great way to help people. You find a question that is related to your topic and try and supply a good answer. The better the answer the more chance that a person will come and visit your site.
6. Facebook. Facebook is very popular these days and people love being about to share information with friends all over the world. You can post links to your blog here and encourage your friends to view. It?s great. You need to be active and social at least 3-4 times a week but it?s not hears.
It?s all pretty easy and when you get the hang of it you can get most of the things done in less than an hour a day.
